I understand that it is good to have things in writing but to wait for owner's written instructions on this would delay the process further and possibly chew into the bond.  We seek owner's instructions by phone and hand deliver the notice to leave.  Then we write a letter to the owner of what we have done and enclose a copy of the notice that was issued for their records.
