Hi, how do we get the text/tags above or below each actual photo rather than all the tags at the  start of where the photos start.  Have noticed the untitled heading as well?  Is it settings if so what do we need to change?

Hi Donna, thanks for your question.  There are three (3) ways you can make comments on each photo.  First take the photo, then once the photo appears, touch the screen at the top pf the photo to add a title.  

Pre defined text showing the room names will appear for you or you can type your own.  Then on the same photo, underneath the Title, touch the screen to add some general comments about the photo of the room you have just taken.  

The last way to comment on the photo is to simply touch any part of the screen/photo and type in what you would like to add.  This can be particulary useful if there is something specific you would like to point out ofr the owner.

Hi I am using Field Agent on my iphone 3GS and find it incredibly usefull however i am having two major problems.

1) Randomly when in the middle of an inspection after taking a random number of photos (sometimes on the 2nd or 10th for example) i will go to take the next shot hear the shuttersound and the App will instantly close to the iphone home screen.  I then need to reload the app and go back into the inspection and that photo will not appear and if i try to add any photos the same thing will happen.  The only way to stop this is to create a new property and take a new inspection.  This does not happen on all inspections, maybe 1 out of 3.

It is a iphone on the latest 4.2 firmware and is NOT jailbroken.

2) I went to take a second inspection using the app on a property and it completely lost the old inspection photo’s and notes. is this supposed to happen.

Just for your info other than these issues I am very happy with the app and feel that you could charge for this, I would be happy to pay (providng these bugs are fixed :) ) for this app for all our agents as it is worth its weight in gold for time saving.

I have not had this problem with the application, but I have had all of my inspections dissapear!  I think this may be due to the fact that I use my personal iphone as well as my work one on the computer.  At first I only had my personal iphone set up with field agent, then my boss bought me the iphone 4.  After I did my last lot of inspections itunes asked me if I wanted to sync everything.  My last backup was of my personal iphone stuff, so it saved it all onto the new one and deleted all the old info!!  It also deleted my work email and my calender!

Be aware that this can happen when you are using more than one iphone on itunes!

Admin,  I think what Donna was asking was about the titles appearing all before the photo’s on the email that is sent out, not each title with each photo.  I email all inspections to my office first then forward onto my owners, so I have a record on the computer of what has been sent out.   Usually I delete these or move them.

I would like the set next inspection date to be included on the email sent out to the owner, so they know when you are going to inspect again.  Another idea is to have the ability to do a very short 10sec vid option to email out as well.

I only have 1 phone linked to that itunes account so I dont think that is the problem.  thanks anyway.

Any one have any other idea’s on the cause.

Thanks for your input guys and we apologise for your frustrations. Our Field Agent architect is aware of these problems, unfortunately it is currently a fault in our operating system. Rest assured we are working on this one as we speak to rectify the glitch as a matter of urgency.

We have discovered in the past, as a general rule, if you turn your iphone on and off every day or second day it seems to reboot and run more smoothly as a device, we would recommend doing this to alleviate any problems your incurring.

Will update you shortly with good news that the new build as been rectified. Please dont hesitate to keep us in the loop of any faults / recommendations so we can ensure Field Agent is kept at “worth it’s weight in gold”! Thanks for the comment R Flick. We love!

Hi, I have just downloaded the app for my iphone 4. We were figuring out how to use it in the office and made up a few properties to see how it works. Only problem is I now have a these properties that dont exist on my phone and can’t figure out how to get rid of them.

Does anyone know how to delete these properties?

Great news, hope you find Field Agent to be helpful and a time saving for you.  The app doesn’t allow to remove properties at this stage.  If you have conducted any real routine inspections yet, you could uninstall the app from your iphone and then re install it again.  Going forward, do you think the ability to delete properties should be included in a future upate?

Thank you for that. Yes i think it would be an idea to have that option as if we lose management for example or staff change then there will be no need for the properties to remain on the phone. I’m using my personal phone for the inspections so if I move on from here there will be no need for me to take that information.

I do think that this app will be very helpful however and save me alot of time!
