I have had a number of my tenants contact me recently because they have problems with one of the tenants at the complex who can be frequently heard ‘wailing’ from the bedroom. Not quite sure how to word this noise complaint letter. Any suggestions?

This is a tough one Jessica. I once had to send a tenant a plumbing bill as the reason for the blockage was female sanitary products blocking the pipes – definately an akward letter (and follow up conversation – but thats another story). For noise in the bedroom, you would have to use words like “suspected evening bedroom activities”…ooh, too hard for me this early in the morning! :)

Haha! At least you know you have happy tenants?

I would say something like..

“Our agency has recieved several noise complaints from apartments neighbouring yours. Please ensure that you are mindful of other tenants, particularly after hours.”

thanks guys :) I was fine dealing with their loud tv and cd player, but eventually with ‘Any guests you have at the property, particularly overnight guests, must also make an effort to not disturb the peace of the surrounding properties.’ I’ll let you know how it goes haha
