What’s the verdict on this guys? I have heard so many dates lately, I have no idea what the magic combination is… Should there be two statement runs or four in December? Does it depend on if you are closing or do all landlords need to be be paid before Christmas day? |

We process 15th and last day every month, so don’t see the issue. Always late to NYE party though..;(( |

We do ours after hours and then have a team dinner. Doing it on the 29th as we will probably shut early on the 30th. |

The offices that I have worked for always do mid month as normal on the 15th. End of month is always debatable – prior to close down before Christmas seems to mostly win. But running 4 statements in December – NEVER! |

We did EOM before Xmas once, and had heaps of LL’s ring up complaining that they only got 3 weeks rent etc. So we are back to doing it between Xmas and New Year. I assume that the offices that have always closed for that week or so, have their LL’s better trained. When I lived in Victoria, as a tenant, I paid rent monthly in advance, and heard that the agents did a dispursment each week, for the payments as they cleared, so that effectively meant 4 if not 5 statement runs. Like to hear from some one in Victoria for an update. |

Hi Emily this maybe a little late . We do eom in Dec on the last day we are open. But you need to write & email the owners (that way they get it…) on the 15th of the month telling them 3 very important things (if you are closing for Christmas.) 1. the date the office will be closed and re open 2. that date the eom will be done in the month of decemeber 3. that the next statement run will be done at the end of Jan. I have found if you let them know, they won’t call.. Good Luck. |
